The Day in Review

This is going to be a short Day in Review, not because I have no time, but because there is no news

Injury News:

• Chipper missed his game today with a strained quad, but it's not supposed to be anything serious. I wonder if he knows how much a DL-stint would help his .400 bid.

Notable Performances:

• Vernon Wells had a nice return, going 3-4 with a HR. Hopefully he is in full health.
• Nick Swisher had two hits in the same game. One was a HR. Gavin Floyd struck out nine in seven innings of two-run ball.
• Carlos Delgado went a HR short of hitting for the cycle. Yes, this means that the slugger (derived from sluggish) hit a triple. Or at least it was scored that way.
• Hanley Ramirez, who has been on fire, hit two homers today among his three hits and four RBIs. Pretty nice statline.
