MLB Front Office
Contributors

Want to know a little bit
more about the people serving up the fantasy insight? You've
come to the right place. All of our writers bring a wealth of
fantasy baseball experience. Our
writers all come from various backgrounds and take various
angles on the game, but they all share the same goal -- to bring
you the best fantasy coverage they can. Here's a little bit
more about us:
Founder & Editor:
Brad Stewart
is the founder of MLB Front Office and owner of Front Office
Sports Enterprise (the parent company of MLB Front Office).
His writing can be found all over the internet. He has been
a consistent contributor for
FantasyBaseballExpress.com
and
LennyMelnickFantasyBaseball.com.
In addition, Brad has been a staff writer for
SportsBlurb.com (where
he covered head to head leagues) and
BigDawgBaseball.com
(where he covered the AL Central). He has done guest
writing for websites such as DenverPost.com and has been
talking in third person for this whole paragraph. Lenny
Melnick (2 time LABR winner, Tout Wars winner) says, "Brad
is an amazing young writer."
Columnists:
Kevin Orris
has loved sports for as
long as he can remember. In high school, he fell in love
with journalism and it was a match made in heaven. He brings
a wealth of baseball knowledge and passion to MLB Front
Office. Kevin is also a contributor to
MajorLeagueReport.com and
FantasyBaseballGenerals.com. In addition, Kevin has
previously written on the NBA, NHL, NFL and about every
other sport.
Ryan Hallam's
sports life began with an unholy collection of baseball cards and
memorization of player's statistics, so fantasy sports
quickly became an obsession once he was turned on to it.
Ryan has been playing fantasy sports (baseball especially)
for the better part of 10 years. He has participated in all
different kinds of leagues from head-to-head to auction to
dynasty leagues. He especially enjoys the couple of keeper
leagues that he is in and usually has his eyes on the minor
leagues. Ryan is always willing to answer your question on
players to add, drop, trade, keep, etc. Simply drop him a
line here.
Ryan also currently operates a blog,
Fighting Chance Fantasy Sports.
Paul Singman
has loved baseball for as long as he can remember and upon
first playing fantasy baseball many years ago, that love
grew. Much to his surprise, Paul found tremendous success in
fantasy baseball and while he contends that that was
probably beginner's luck, he now possesses a knowledge of
statistics and strategies that allow him to consistently
place well in leagues. Paul felt a moral obligation to pass
on his secrets to success and as a result his writing can be
found at various places on the internet. He welcomes any
questions, comments, or concerns that you may have
via email.
Isaiah "Ike" Warner
graduated from the University of Houston with a B.A. in
Political Science, and is currently a high school social
studies teacher. A former senior staffer for a high-ranking
Democrat in the Texas House of Representatives, Ike's true
love has always been baseball. In the fantasy world, he
specializes in performance evaluation, minor league player
analysis, and draft theory. Ike also operates his own
fantasy baseball blog,
Nine Bo Jacksons.
Bloggers:
Zachary A. Piso is an
undergraduate student at Allegheny College in Meadville. He
is working toward a minor in Economics with a focus on game
theory, but spends most of his time reading up on fantasy
baseball. Most of his experience pertains to Yahoo!, ESPN,
and classic 5x5 league settings, both in redraft and keeper
leagues.
Pete Abbate
is majoring in economics at George Mason
University. He was raised as an avid baseball fan;
unfortunately, his hometown Pittsburgh Pirates have been
terrible for as long as he has followed the sport. Fantasy
baseball provides him the ability to follow championship
teams and players without abandoning his hometown team.
Radio:
Tim Kuda has been participating in
sports a majority of his life. Tim is from the
Chicago area and
is a Chicago
sports fan. However, when baseball is the game, his
alliance is to the North side of town. Tim has lived
and mostly died with the Cubs since the Bill Buckner days in
the early 80s but don't hold that against him. Anyone
can have a bad century.
Frankie
Maniscalco "The Sports
Guy" has a
knack for talking sports, so what better thing to do than host a
sports talk show. Even though Frankie produces and hosts his
show from NY, his interviews and topics stretch farther than
just the NY Metro Area. He is fan of all sports, but baseball
and the Mets have his attention the most. Growing up a Met fan
has been tough at times, but he also knows that being from NY
makes a sports fan spoiled because of all of the great teams
that have been produced for so many years. There is no other
place that he would rather be than in NY.
Ian Bethune
has been a lifelong Red Sox fan who still remembers what he
was doing on that fateful day in 1978 (he was 7) when Bucky
“Effin” Dent hit the homerun. He was almost disowned by his
mother when he gave Dent a ride to the airport in his car.
Ian spent 8 1/2 years working in minor league baseball
having only played it for two years giving it up at age 14
to concentrate on his true love of soccer. His dream job is
to work for the Red Sox but knows that will probably never
happen. Ian’s just happy the Red Sox have won the World
Series twice in his lifetime.
Erik
LaMarca has 10 years of Fantasy Baseball and
Basketball under his belt and a lifetime of being a fan.
From 5x5 vanilla to Auction Dynasty leagues Erik's
experience touches them all. A die Hard Met fan Erik knows
the trials and tribulations of being a fan.
Johnny Archive, a respected Fantasy
Sports Consultant, has been playing, coaching, officiating,
and writing about sports all his life. This former newspaper
sports editor and
MLB.com Fantasy 411 Hall of Famer currently writes a
daily
MLB.com blog and hosts The Johnny Archive Fantasy
Baseball show on MLB Front Office Radio. With over 20 years
of fantasy league experience, he offers sound advice and
strategy, as well as updates on the highly competitive
Johnny Archive International League (J.A.I.L).
